Joe is licensed to practise law in Ontario and Nova Scotia. He is an experienced litigator who provides litigation support services to other lawyers and law firms in Ontario and throughout Atlantic Canada. Joe also provides general litigation and solicitor legal services to individuals and businesses in Ontario and Nova Scotia. His current practice is focused on corporate commercial and civil litigation, medical malpractice and professional negligence litigation, and real estate and real property disputes.

Joe started JSU LAW as an alternative law firm model to balance a focus on quality legal work and quality of life. Joe received his legal training and began his legal career in Toronto, Ontario with McCarthy Tétrault LLP. Joe has advised and assisted physicians, commercial landlords and tenants, pharmaceutical and medical device corporations, and multinational tech companies with their litigation needs.

 

Joe has had trials, hearings, and appearances before the Ontario Small Claims Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Toronto Commercial List, and the Nova Scotia Supreme Court.

Joe received a J.D. from Queen's University, Faculty of Law. He received a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University, where he was captain of the Dalhousie Tigers Varsity Swim Team.

Joe is a self-loathing English Football supporter, and in his spare time he likes to play and record music, watch films, and swim.
